Corporate Manslaughter is an issue with which all directors and senior managers must be fully conversant. Companies can now be convicted of corporate manslaughter where gross failure in the way the company's activities were managed or organised results in a person’s death. And from 16 January 2009, individuals can be sent to prison if convicted of health and safety offences.
