As we take stock of the aftermath of the General Election and digest the policies implemented by the Conservative-Liberal Democrat coalition, many economic experts predict that 2010 - 11 will be a period of economic stability due to the hangover of the recession being with us for some time yet.
The past 12 months has seen difficult trading conditions for the majority of our clients, with many of them being sympathetic towards the plight of some of their customers during the recession. Many clients have worked with their customers to ensure structured repayment terms and the rehabilitation of accounts have been implemented. The first quarter of this year has seen a noticeable shift in attitude from our corporate clients, with many now being more assertive in their approach and demanding payment much earlier.
Despite difficult economic conditions our business has seen an increase in enquires for all areas of the business, with recent contracts secured in the education, insurance, utility and financial services sectors. Incasso was recently nominated for a number of awards in the Credit Industry, which is a testimony to the way we work and the quality of our individuals. Our work has been recognised by the industry as being innovative, cost effective and most importantly one that gives quality throughout. I am extremely grateful for all the hard work of our staff, who continually deliver pragmatic and cost effective solutions for our clients.
During such difficult times it is important that we appreciate the time we spend away from the office. Many of us will no doubt be enjoying the glorious recent weather (long may it continue) and the exploits of our sporting heroes, with the notable exception of the Three Lions, who if we are honest were simply not good enough but will no doubt blame a Ukrainian linesman ! Still, as I write we can hopefully count on Andy Murray and Messrs Pietersen, Collingwood & Co to provide some joy on the sporting front.
There will continue to be challenging times ahead, so enjoy the summer, hope the weather remains good and keep smiling.
